This series had ended quite a long ago but re-watching it again in Waku Waku Japan makes me want to write a decent review about this series.

"Koinaka - Best friend in love" is this drama's title in Waku Waku Japan. The title itself is a big spoiler lol yeah since that's all this drama is about.

Miura Aoi is an indecisive guy with a timid personality who dislikes summer. He once aspired to become an architect, but his dream has faded as he lets the days go by working as an assistant in a small architectural firm in Tokyo. Then one day, Aoi has a fateful reunion with Serizawa Akari, his first love and a childhood friend. Back in their school days, the two were always together. However, Akari suddenly disappeared in the summer of their third year in high school. Aoi forced himself to bury his feelings for her deep within him, but it could never truly be forgotten. Aoi's heart is once again moved by their unexpected reunion. However, there is another guy who is also named Aoi standing next to her... -- Fuji TV

The very first scene of this series, you will find Akari dressed in wedding dress alone at the church. While the next scene, both Aois are running in a hurry. Confusing isn't it?

Next, after the intro you will be shown of Aoi's (the Miura Aoi) current life before he started to have a flashback of his high school life; his childhood sweetheart too of course. Aoi is pathetic lol. He is a pathetic and really indecisive guy. But yes, I want him




Sometime after the failed tournament (lol), Shota transferred into Aoi dan Akari's school. There's this incident which makes Aoi and Shota get close which made the three of them (Aoi, Akari, Shota) start to do things together. The very first conflict started around here, Akari's father gone missing with a lot of debt. This forced Akari to leave, but she kinda does her thing (note: with Aoi's manga) and asked Aoi to a festival but instead of Aoi, Shota was the one who came. Well, she met Aoi and kissed him tho.
After the flashback, well actually before the flashback (the latter flashback). Aoi met Shota and discovered that he is dating Akari now. Poor Aoi-kun. The three of them having dinner and yash, a lot of feelings ugh.

Another encounter, a date, Aoi helping Akari making a new shelf, Shota being jealous, Akari discovering something, Aoi's ex-gf, Akari meeting her father, Akari found out what Shota had done, yadda yadda there's a lot of conflict with a lot of feelings.



The feelings are too much, you better watch it by yourself. But let me spoil it a bit, this show is about Aoi and Akari. Yes, the story revolved around them. Can you guess who's gonna be Akari's groom now? Aoi? Well, Shota won't let them, though.

Well, that's it (lol). Sorry that I'm bad at writing a long post. If you ever get interested then watch it in your spare time, I recommended it. But yeah, prepare your feelings before anything else.
